This year the South Haven Center for the Arts is celebrating Frida Kahlo’s garden at Casa Azul, her lifelong refuge and inspiration. In celebration of indigenous Mexican culture, Frida's garden featured a range of plants and animals native to her home country. In her studio, Frida painted still lifes and self-portraits exploding with the colors and shapes of these plants and animals. What's growing in your garden?

The South Haven Center for the Arts’ Exhibition Committee invites members to join us in interpreting the theme “Six Feet.” The theme came from social distancing “six feet apart,” and may draw to mind “six feet tall,” or may inspire you to quote Dr. Suess’s “Some have two feet, some have four, some have six feet, some have more.” The exhibition committee looks forward to seeing how you interpret this theme in concept and/or form. We ask you to include a statement with your piece explaining how it relates to the theme.
