Film Institute of South Haven Presents Third Film

FISH (Film Institute of South Haven), now in its fourth winter season will show the third and final film of the series, “Outsourced”, at 3 p.m., Sunday March 14th at Lake Michigan College, Room 141, South Haven campus.

This film debuted at the 2006 Toronto Film Festival. It is a timely modern day comedy that follows a Seattle based call center manager that is fired and then dispatched to India as a consultant to train his own replacement. The film makers treat the story as a springboard for a smart look as the effect of cultural difference on work, friendship and love and the global economy’s impact on national and personal identity. What could be a depressing topic turns out to be a refreshing look at positive characters with a “charming culture-clash romance” thrown in.

Facilitator of this film is Sarah Hess, Program Coordinator for the South Haven Center for the Arts, who is a knowledgeable film viewer with a passion and critical eye for selecting independent and foreign films.

The film is free to the public. Donations welcome.

FISH is a collaborative project with Lake Michigan College, South Haven Memorial Library and South Haven Center for the Arts.
