Openings still available for winter workshops and classes
 
SOUTH HAVEN, Michigan (Feb. 1, 2010) -- South Haven Center for the Arts Program Director Sarah Hess says there are still openings for the following classes and workshops held at the Center, 600 Phoenix St: 
 
Watercolor Workshop, instructor Jacqueline Skarritt, Feb. 20, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., $50; bring a sack lunch, supplies’ list available at the Center; preregister by Feb. 17. Skarritt will focus on color theory and composition, with participants creating many small paintings. Member discount available.
 
3D Felted Workshop with Aron Lowe, Feb. 27, 1-4 p.m., $50, supplies included; Preregister by Feb. 24. Lowe, whose works were featured in the Art Center’s Wonders of the Woven World exhibit, will take participants on a fun exploration of felting by introducing them to embellishment techniques such as lines, dots, words and to more complex figural forms by attaching pieces, felted separately, such as a nose or ears, to a face. Member discount available.
 
Classical Hatha Yoga Level I classes, 5:30-6:30 p.m., Wednesdays; $50 for six sessions, $10 drop-in fee; $8 members.
