Ice Breakers 2010

SOUTH HAVEN, Michigan (January 25, 2010) -- The South Haven Center for the Arts, 600 Phoenix St., will enliven South Haven’s annual Ice Breaker (February 5-7) by hosting Icicles and Snowflakes, and “Ice” tacular Science Adventures for children on Feb. 6 at the Center.

 

Icicles and Snowflakes, with Tina Walter, comprises a variety of children’s arts and crafts with snacks from noon to 2 p.m. Children will explore the wonders of winter with their winter-related crafts in a variety of mediums.

 

Following Icicles and Snowflakes, children can take part in the adventures of “Ice”-tacular magic with Dr. Rick Olsen from 2:30-3:30 p.m. The science-related show for families includes marvelous, mysterious and magical fun created by the skilled Dr. Olsen.

 

Both events are free to the public.

 

South Haven Center for the Arts will also host the Annual Champions of Ice Awards Reception, 5:30-7 p.m., February 6 to announce the Ice Carving and the Professional /Amateur Chili Cook-Off awards.
