FISH Presents it's Second Film

SOUTH HAVEN, Michigan (January 25, 2010) -- FISH (Film Institute of South Haven), now in its fourth winter season will show the second in its series of three films, “La Vie en Rose”, at 3 p.m., February 7 at Lake Michigan College, Room 141, South Haven campus.

 

The 2007 French cinema film depicts the life of French singer icon Edith Piaf, and is named after her signature song. The film takes the viewer through the singer’s life as a child in 1918, her experiences in a brothel, in the circus, as a street performer, cabaret singer, star and her death in New York. Actress Marion Cotillard received the Golden Globe and Academy Award for her performance. Carol Tidwell, French and English educator, will facilitate the film.

 

The film is free to the public. Donations welcome.

 

FISH is a collaborative project with Lake Michigan College, South Haven Memorial Library and South Haven Center for the Arts.
