Museworthy Models Coordinator: Patrick McKearnan, Tuesdays, February 19, 26, March 5, 12, 19 & 26, 7 - 9:30 pm, $70 for 6 sessions or $15 for drop-in sessions (no discounts) Pre registration required.

This six week open studio program is ideal for those taking other courses and those who wish to practice their skills in figure drawing, painting, and sculpture from live art models, male and female, in the nude. Particular attention is paid to lighting to produce the best tonal values for both portrait and figure painting. Each session includes both short and enxtended poses. The extended poses make this figure studio an excellent option for sculptors. ** Must be 18 years old to attend; please bring your own art supplies.

Roll Your Own Instructor: Melissa Warner-Talcott, Saturday, January 19th, 2pm, $35 per person, 8 people max

This course is a hands-on class for anyone with the love of sushi and a big appetite. Come as an individual or a group for fun Saturday afternoon of sushi making. Learn how to make cucumber rolls, California rolls, rainbow rolls and spicy tuna hand rolls. The best part is that you get to enjoy them all at the end of the class with a sake tasting! The course covers how to prepare sushi rice, how to make cucumber roll, California roll, and rainbow roll. Please bring your own apron. Everything else is provided.

The Art of Origami Instructor: Masano Crago, Saturday, January 26th, 2pm, $10 per person, 12 people max

Learn the beautiful and historical creative art of folding paper. In this beginner level one day workshop students will learn the fundamental folding techniques that are the basis of many popular origami models. The workshop is designed for ages 5- adult with no prior knowledge necessary. Fee includes all materials needed.

Behind the Scenes with Mary Brodbeck, Saturday, February 2nd, 2:30-4:00 pm, FREE and open to the public

As part of the Land of the Rising Sun exhibition, please join us for a closing lecture with artist Mary

Brodbeck. Mary will talk at length about her work and give an extended demonstration of how she creates her beautiful traditional Japanese wood block prints. As part of this lecture/demo Mary will assist each participant in recreating one of her very own pieces as a take home souvenir from this exhibition.

Ice Breakers: Icicles and Snowflakes Children's Art Activity, February 2nd, 12 - 2 pm, FREE

This free drop-in children's activity is paired with the Ice Breaker weekend event and is a great way to come in out of the cold and warm, you up with a cup of hot cocoa! This year's activity is snowflakes made from tubes and pipe cleaners and will be taught by Kristin Ayers. No registration required.
